How to apply?
We are accepting applications in person. Visit us at 425R Broadway Saugus, MA 01906 to pick up an application in our ticket office. The office is open Monday thru Friday 10AM to 5PM, or during any of our public skating sessions on the weekend.
How old do you have to be to work at Roller World?
The minimum age to work at Roller World is 14 years old, with restrictions on hours as per Massachusetts law.
Available Part Time Positions
Skate Guard
General responsibilities include skating the floor during sessions to enforce safety rules, and work at the rental skate counter to distribute, organize, and clean rental skates and blades.
Applicants must be able to skate proficiently.
Open Availability is a plus, weekend shifts required.
Snack Bar Staff
General responsibilities include working behind the snack bar, taking food orders and serving customers. Keeping the kitchen clean, as well as seated areas.
Applicants must be able to perform basic math and operate a cash register/credit card terminal.
Open Availability is a plus, weekend shifts required.
Cleaning Crew
General responsibilities include vacuuming and shampooing the carpeted areas around the rink. Mopping and sweeping the skating floor and seated areas. Emptying the trash barrels, and condensing boxes to be thrown in the dumpster. Dusting, sanitizing counter tops and tables.
Applicants must be able to perform light to moderate physical work and lift up to 50lbs.
This is a flexible position, that can be performed during the days when there is no public skating session, several times a week. Some duties can be performed while we are open to the public, but some must be performed during times between skating sessions. Set your schedule and work at your own pace.
Skate Repair
General responsibilities include fixing and maintaining rental skates & blades. Replacing wheels, bearings, buckles, and other components. Inspecting skates for any and all needed repairs. Organizing and cleaning skate racks, and keeping the repair bench clean and tools organized.
Applicants must be proficient in basic use of tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, handheld drills, and a good mechanical mindset for how skates and blades work. We will train the right applicant on skate repair methods.
This is a flexible position, that can be performed during the days when there is no public skating session, several times a week. Availability during Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings is a plus to assist with repair back log during busy weekend skating sessions. Set your own schedule and work at your own pace.
Pro Shop
General responsibilities include redeeming arcade games tickets in exchange for prizes and toys. Assist customers in the purchase of roller skates & and accessories.
Applicants must be proficient in basic math and use of a cash register/credit card terminal.
Open Availability on Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings a must. Potential for some flexible shifts during week days during private functions.
